![]() ![]() as it turns out there is one more hidden transparency option, like what the hell man.Īnyway it's not a "I Hate Adobe Illustrator club", but when I found out about Affinity my life as a vector illustrator literally changed, I don't wanna sound cheesy and "commercial-like" but I can tell you exactly why I love it so much and how it affects my professional life,įirst of all it's really fast (great performance), nothing is worse then slow and laggy Graphical Software, although I had some problems with it when I really overloaded with artboards + effects+layers). As a person who really adore working in various Vector Software, who once upon a time draw a website design in photoshop (yeah that was some years before sketch/figma) I just don't understand, how can a visual software like illustrator, shows you a stupid popup dialog with numbers when you want to transform object? When it's so not obvious that your object is masked? And one of my favorites is when your object is semi-transparent but you see opacity 100%. But I don't know how to use it with AP.As a Visual Designer/Illustrator for like 13+ years, I can say that I genuinely hate Adobe Illustrator with all my guts, I just don't get it, as one of the commentators said. TL DR:Darktable might become my Lightroom alternative to use with AP. Most file manager/raw processors have an "edit in" feature, but have have not been able to locate one in Darktable.Does anyone know a solution? The problem is that I do not know how to get Darktable to work efficiently with Affinity Photo. Otherwise, I will use a free Lightroom alternative, probably Darktable since RawTherepee is extremely slow on my computer, even though it's specs absolutely shouldn't be a issue. My budget, however, does not fit either of these options, so when the trials run out, I might go back to using AP's Raw processor, which is rather simplistic (much like Photoshop's Camera Raw which I used to use) but does the job. Since I really like the combination of a "lightroom-type" program and a "Photoshop-type" program (like AP), I think I will also do the 30 day Capture One trial to see how it is. I am a beginner/amateur photographer who recently switched form Photoshop CS6 to Affinity Photo.I am currently using the 7 day Lightroom trial with Affinity.
